Padrón

Diz a Lenda que Atanásio e Teodoro, após chegarem à Vila de Arosa, decidem subir o rio Sar (atualmente, rio Ulla) até Iria Flavia. Lá chegados, amarram a barca que transportava o corpo do Apóstolo a uma coluna de pedra. Esta "coluna de pedra" encontra-se, hoje, sob o altar-mor da Igreja Paroquial de Santiago de Padrón, o que vem a dar o nome da vila: Padrón.

The Legend indicates that Atanásio and Teodoro, after reaching the village of Arosa, decide to climb the Sar river (currently the Ulla river) to Iria Flavia. Arriving there, they tied the boat that carried the body of the Apostle to a stone column. This "stone column" is today under the main altar of the Parish Church of Santiago de Padrón, which comes to give the name of the village: Padrón.
