Projeto Canecas disponível no Albergue Cidade de Barcelos
O Projeto “Canecas”, tem como objetivo encontrar, em contexto escolar, respostas potenciadoras da inclusão social para alunos com Necessidades Educativas Especiais (NEE), através de experiências significativas, promotoras da autonomia dos alunos e do desenvolvimento de competências ligadas ao mundo do trabalho. O Projeto, desenvolve-se numa lógica de trabalho em rede com outras instituições do território educativo. Os alunos desenvolvem processos de criação, desenvolvimento e promoção de diferentes produtos – canecas pintadas, plantas aromáticas e produtos alimentares. O Projeto "Canecas" firma-se em três eixos que cruzam o território educativo:
Inclusão social: a escola é um ambiente de desenvolvimento de capacidades, atitudes e conhecimentos que são essenciais para a vida adulta, e os alunos desenvolvem competências de relacionamento interpessoal prevendo-se que sejam eles dar a conhecer os "produtos" aos visitantes do projeto.
Artesanato e produtos locais: conceção de peças de cerâmica (destacam-se as canecas de cerâmica totalmente manipuladas e personalizadas pelos alunos); cultivo e secagem de plantas (destacam-se as plantas aromáticas e os chás e a produção de produtos artesanais “bolachas”, "compotas" e “chá”).
Caminho de Santiago: inserido no conceito de “Caminho de Santiago Inclusivo”, os Peregrinos que passam nos passeios do arruamento principal do perímetro exterior da escola e nas tardes de 3.ª feira, das 14.00h às 16.00h, são convidados a conhecer o Projeto “Canecas”.
O Projeto “Canecas” é apoiado pela Fundação EDP, no âmbito do Programa EDP Solidária Inclusão Social 2016”, Município de Barcelos e Ministério da Educação.

The aim of the "Mugs" Project is to find in the school context the answers for the social inclusion of students with special educational needs. This is done through significant experiences, promoting these students' autonomy and developing skills related to the world of work. The Project is developed in partnership with other educative institutions. The students involved develop processes for creating, developing and promoting different products - painted mugs, aromatic plants and food products. The "Mugs" Project stands on three axes that cross the educational sphere:
Social inclusion: the school is the place for the development of skills, attitudes and knowledge that are essential for adult life. The students involved in this project will also develop interpersonal skills, counting that they will be in charge of showing the "products" of their work to the visitors of the project.
Crafts and local projects: design of ceramic pieces (noteworthy are the ceramic mugs totally manipulated by the students who leave their personal mark in each mug); the growing and drying of plants (noteworthy are the aromatic plants and teas and the production of handcrafted products: "cookies", "jams" and "tea").
Camino de Santiago: Inserted in the concept of "Inclusive Camino to Santiago", the Pilgrims who walk on the sidewalks of the main street of the outer perimeter of the school are invited to visit the "Mug" Project on Tuesday afternoons from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
The "Mugs" Project is supported by the EDP Foundation, within the framework of the ”EDP Solidarity - Social Inclusion 2016 Programme", the Town Hall of Barcelos and the Ministry of Education.
